How to create the Channels list

Note: This software can be very unforgiving. Please follow these instructions carefully!

  1. Search on RepeaterBook.com and create an export list.
  2. From the menu below the RepeaterBook logo, select Export » Radioddity » OpenGD77 Channels File. Complete the necessary fields to format your export.
  3. The file will download to wherever your computer downloads files to. It will also open a copy of the downloaded file in your CSV editor (i.e., Excel or Notepad).
  4. Make any adjustments to the data, but follow the conventions explained above.
  5. Save the file to a folder where this file is the only file with that file name in the folder. Important: The CPS is looking for a folder with the file name Channels.csv in it. It will not let you click to select the file, just the folder. The name cannot be any other name, such as “Channels (1).csv”. Close the file and do not have the file highlighted or selected in File Explorer. It will not open and will warn that the file is in use.
  6. From the OPENGD77 CPS, select File » CSV » Import from CSV. –OR– Append from CSV if you want to add channels to an existing code plug.

Export Notes

This radio can only transmit and receive in analog FM and DMR modes. All other modes are automatically filtered out except when other modes are specifically selected.

This automatic filtering of unsupported modes may cause a discrepancy between the number of rows shown in the search results versus what is exported.

The radio can only transmit on the 2-meter and 70-cm bands. Any frequencies outside of these bands are also filtered.

The radio is capable of 1024 channels. Exports are limited to the maximum channel capacity of the radio.
