The Yaesu ADMS-12 software is specifically for programming the [[ftm-300|Yaesu FTM-300DR]] radio. Also, the transceiver parameters and the setup menu items may be edited and configured.
The radio is shipped with a micro-USB cable. This cable is NOT for programming the radio. It is only for performing firmware updates. The cloning cable is the SCU-20 which must be purchased separately.
An alternative and preferred method for programming the radio is with a [[https://amzn.to/3SbeZbg]|microSD card]]. A microSD card is not included with the radio but can be purchased separately.
RepeaterBook recommends a [[https://amzn.to/3SbeZbg]|microSD card no larger than 32 GB]]. The radio is not capable of reading larger cards. The card featured above has been tested in two separate FTM-300DRs and has worked perfectly.
As an alternative to the ADMS-12 software, you can also use the [[https://amzn.to/4d6q7OJ|RT Systems programmer]].
