I was able to contact this repeater with my 5 watt handheld over 60 miles while hiking in the Wenaha-Tuccannon wilderness area in Washington. KB7DZR took the time to explain some of the many functionalities of the repeater to me. Thanks again

I contacted KB7DZR ahead of time and let him know that I would be bringing a group of 21 up to Ice Lake and Matterhorn. Scott graciously accepted daily check ins to make sure we were OK.
