This is one of the busiest repeaters in the state of Utah. There is a social group called the 76'ers, who always have someone monitoring this frequency. Great place to talk about road and traffic conditions. UARC does a great job maintaining this repeater

I work in West Valley City, and depending on where I'm sitting, people tell me they hear full quieting when I'm on my 5 W handy and ground plane or 70% quality when using same with my 1/4-wave whip.

I was very surprised that i was able to hit this radio with a 50 watt mobile at my home in herriman I know it doesn't seem impressive but there is a mountain in between me and this repeater that is a road block for any radio waves.
