I am running CHIRP, latest version, and was trying to load repeater information from Repeater book. I know this should work as I have done it man times. When I do a proximity search or political search, all I get is a long list of empty channels.
Help please.

I just downloaded the daily build for today and conducted a 10 mile search around Portland, Oregon and no problem.

Yep, Same here. I own two Boafengs. UV5R and UV-8HP, I got a dialog box stating "Unknown File Format."

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I cannot replicate the problem. I need to know what the parameters are of the search. It could be data coming from the database includes an apostrophe or something and not the program itself.

I would like to load the repeaters in Boston, Mass in a UV-82HP. When attempting to download a proximity query, I used Boston, Ma; Distance 10; Band 2 meters. It responded with the "Invalid File Format." After your last response, I took the comma out, also spelled out Massachusetts, also just used Boston (no state).

I tried other cities that I know (have) worked in the past since (I travel a lot) I load the locale that I'm in.

Still trying....

Thanks,

Dan

I couldn't import from chirp either, however Repeater Book allows you to export to a your pc. From there you can go to chirp and click on file and import what you exported from Repeater Book into Chirp. I just got done doing this. Once you do a search for repeaters in your location there is a blue bar with EXPORT, click the wiki selection and it will walk you thru it.

Rick,

It worked. I did the import as you instructed. It went very well (too easy).

Thanks very much for the assistance! You saved a lot of work.

We will still test the function in chirp, try to figure out why it’s not working. Will repost here when we have it fixed.

It looks like CHIRP changed the way the application queries and it is not working. I have reached out to the developers for assistance.
