The simplex configuration of this repeater records and rebroadcast received transmissions. This means you will need to allow time for your message to rebroadcast before the recipient has a chance to respond and they will need to do the same. In other words, communications is delayed and not real time. System should only be used casually for surveying and emergencies at this time. I am keeping an eye out for a good deal on a used VXR-7000. When that is installed the system will be much more robust. |
